We are the pioneering organization (since 1991) and the largest in Mexico dedicated to the continuous improvement of Educational Programs and Public and Private Higher Education Institutions.
We evaluate and accredit higher education programs at all levels — Associate, Bachelor's, Specialty, Master's and Doctorate — in face-to-face, online and hybrid modalities, as well as granting Institutional Accreditation.
Methodology
Our program evaluation methodology is purpose-centered, with emphasis on student and program outcomes. It includes minimum indicators common to any higher education program in Mexico, organized into axes, evaluation categories, and indicators that vary according to the type of program.
Mission
To promote the continuous improvement of higher education through external, objective, impartial, evidence-based evaluations that guide institutions and programs toward standards of excellence, social responsibility and transformative impact in Mexican and Latin American societies.
Vision
By 2030, CIEES will be established as the leading agency in Latin America for higher education evaluation and accreditation, driving a quality assurance model that structurally transforms educational institutions through rigorous, innovative and ethical methodologies, contributing to sustainable development, social equity and academic relevance in the face of global challenges.
Structure
We are made up of 8 interinstitutional committees, specialized in different knowledge areas and composed of authorities, experts and academics from various higher education institutions, who ultimately determine whether accreditation is warranted.
